"A marvelous thing happened to me this last Sunday night. The Lord healed both of my knees! I had a torn meniscus on my right knee which I had a total of four operations the latest just over a year ago. It has since faired up. Then my left knee started giving me fits so I had a MRI done on it and there was evidence of a torn meniscus on it. I said to myself, no, more, doctors! A meniscus is that rubbery substance the knee rest on between the leg and thigh bone. It keeps the two bones from rubbing against each other. Medical science has not come up with a substitute for a torn or worn out meniscus. So one would just have to endure the pain or have what happened to me. The pain in both of my knees would even wake me up in the middle of the night and would make even walking a chore. I wore knee braces for years, but not any more. The same Lord who healed me of three degenerated disks did the same on my knees. And when I tell people I get two types of looks. One is a confused look and the other just gets a big grin on their face. One it takes a bit of explaining, the other no explanation needed. Not a day goes by I do not thank the Lord for what he has done. We both serve a loving and marvelous God who does not want to see us in pain but to just call upon him with any need we have. All it takes is a little faith. And oh my what a little faith can do"

"I attended the morning service at Parklawn today. Your message really blessed me. It is often hard to stay strong in the heat of a storm. You told the story of your wife's battle with cancer and how you just believed and let God take control! I share a similar experience. Before my wife became pregnant I often a partied and was a heavy drinker. My daughter was diagnosed with a heart disease before she was born. I got on my knees in the hospital and accepted the lord in my life. That was the most challenging time of my life. My daughter was in the hospital for seven months straight and had two open heart surgeries before she was a year old. I know that God is good and my wife ad I look forward to helping one of the children through Mission of Mercy. You were great today and have a great spirit! God bless."

"I just wanted to give the Lord praise for what he is doing our lives. As you know on Sunday, Gary Sapp said that we would receive a financial blessing. Actually some of this starts before Sunday. I have been meaning to tell you about it, but just didn't sit down and write the e-mail. Back in February we had increased our missions pledge. Soon after that we received a letter about some unclaimed funds that had been held at a fiduciary from a house we bought when we were first married. It was about the same amount that we pledged. Then about the same time we were shopping in Home Depot and we saw a dining room chandelier that we liked. It was on clearance - marked down from $239 to $79. We looked down below, but there weren't any there. So we asked for assistance. When he came and looked, he found that the one on display was the last one. We casually mentioned since it was a display could he knock some off the price and he mentioned something about $50. So we thought he meant it would be $50. When we checked out, he had taken $50 off - so we got a $239 chandelier for $29,. PTL He enables our dollars to go further when we obey him! Then the Restore the Glow came and we pledge close to $300. Soon after that we received a letter that said that they were going to drill a couple of gas wells near our house and all the people in the area were getting leases. We checked into it and signed the papers. We got about $250 for that, plus if they drill the wells and hit gas we will be in a pool that get some money. Since we don't have that much land it isn't much, but it was just a sign to us that God was noticing when we responded to the extra offerings. Then yesterday, we received an unexpected $3,000 check. Wow, God is so good! He is faithful when we respond to him. In the natural all of these things were almost impossible. Since I don't start working full-time until August, things have been very tight this summer, but we haven't ever gone without. Also my Mom blessed us by paying for our kids to go to camp which would have been hard for us to come up with the money. We are just rejoicing in God's mercy and faithful."

"You prayed for my granddaughter Sunday 7/13 at First Assembly of God inWest Monroe. She had acid reflux. She had her last acid relux pill on 7/12 when her Mother stopped giving it to her and claimed her healing (she had to take meds for this daily). She has not had to take anymore acid reflux medicine since and has not had any symptoms of reflux. We give all the glory to the Lord.

"This past Sunday in the evening service, when you called for those who needed restoration in their family, I came with a list of six names from my family. David, my nephew was first on the list. He had just finished an 8 month jail sentence for DWIs in Manassas, Virginia, and had been sent to Stafford, Virginia for a second sentence for another DWI. He was unsure as to the length of that sentence. We were praying that his time there would be short for several reasons, but mainly because of his serious illness due to alcoholism. During his stay in Manassas, he was hospitalized several times. The jail at Stafford has a very poor medical facility. Today, while in the process of trying to get the local newspaper changed to the new address, I spoke with David's case worker for additional mailing information. She told me that David would not need the newspaper, because he was scheduled to be released tomorrow, Wednesday, July 16th. When the caseworker called David to the telephone, I congratulated him. His response was "For what?". When I told him of the news he did not believe me. He turned to the caseworker and she verified it. His first reaction was "Praise the Lord". David still needs prayer to get back to his home in Deville, find a place to live, and find employment. May God continue to bless and use you and Sister Dee. "

"Just wanted to take a moment and thank you for praying for our daughter, Brooke Reed on Sunday at First Assembly in Jackson. Brooke is 13 and is a joy to our lives. In Dec 2005, Brooke had this strange illness start with her hands and feet swelling and a butterfly shaped rash across her face. It was so severe that we went to the after hours clinic. The pediatrician. there said this is Lupus. We were sent to a specialist at University med center here in Jackson. The Dr there said there was no sign of Lupus in the blood work. She thought it was Cold Urticaria which just means that when Brooke gets cold she breaks out in hives. We were sent to the allergist. The allergist put an ice cube on her arm and she began to swell. We were told that she should take extreme caution while swimming, eating cold things, and any other thing that changes her body temp. She carries an epi-pen for emergencies because her body responds to the cold like a person would to a bee sting if allergic. They put her on a daily allergy med, but she hates the feeling of it. So she has chosen to try to avoid getting cold instead. During the past few months, she has started some new things, like a lacy purple rash on her legs and her knees swell constantly. The Rhemetologist said that we needed to come back in and re-test for Lupus. 2 weeks ago, we went in and they lost 2 tubes of blood and they ran the wrong test on some of it because it was coded incorrectly. Last Thursday we went back and they did more blood work. We are waiting to hear back from that. She did test positive for Lyme Disease. They have named things like Raynaulds, Lupus or cryglobuianemia. It is not uncommon to test positive for Lyme so they are rerunning it. This has been a long journey because we really do not have any answers as to why this child is turning purple. and swelling at the hips and knees. Brooke has taken the approach that God only allows something to come in to your life for his glory. She has said that she will be a witness through whatever. She always talks about God things n her Dr visits. She has a great heart of compassion for kids who have strange illnesses. She has grown so much in her walk through all of these months. We know God touched her on Sunday. She had begun to have some chest pains. She also was not eating very well. Well, Sunday at lunch she ate every bite on her plate and Sunday night she did the same. She has not had any chest pains, or purple skin. She did swell up when we went by the meat dept at the grocery store---cold urticaria reaction. This still was not as bad as it had been. We are waiting on a call today about the blood work from last week. Even though we see the cold urticaria at times we know Brooke is better than she was last week. Brooke is going to teen camp next week. This is a huge deal for us to allow her to go without us, but she is determined to go because she feels like she is going to be able to help someone else that is there going through something. Thank you so much for allowing God to use you in our lives that morning. We had overslept and missed Sunday School and almost did not come that morning. We are normally very faithful, but Brooke had experienced the worst day ever with pain on Saturday. We were so blessed to be there. We are looking forward to good reports from the DR. Brooke wants to start a ministry to children with rare illnesses. I am not sure what the big plan is with all of this, but we know that God works in steps not jumps and leaps and HE will bring the glory on the other side."
